Long Island’s Lighthouses: Past and Present is the first book to explore the lighthouse heritage of Long Island, New York. Containing 24 historic light stations, 27 chapters, 384 pages, more than 150 photos and illustrations, a bibliography, index, glossary, original artwork, many previously untold stories and previously unseen photos, and more, Long Island’s Lighthouses: Past and Present has something for everyone. All proceeds from the sale of the book benefit historic preservation and education. The author is cofounder and President of the Long Island Chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society, President of the East Islip Historical Society, a National Park Service volunteer at the Fire Island Lighthouse and creator of the NewYorkLighthouses.com web site.
